Check weekly closing days before you plan the day
Victoria Memorial, Kolkata, West Bengal
Published Oct 10, 2026 · RegretMap travel note
The situation
Several of Kolkata's museums and galleries have a weekly closing day, and Monday is a common one. A day built around the Victoria Memorial galleries can shrink to a walk in the gardens.
The lesson
Look up each museum's closing day before arranging your Kolkata itinerary.
